We’re going to uncover the root cause of this backsliding by looking at the Doctrine of the Nicolaitans. Jesus praised the Ephesians for rejecting this group, but the pressure they exerted reveals the subtle trap of choosing religious "rules" or "worldly compromise" over a real relationship with Christ.
